Between the Drops

Cold water, performance, Duration: 2 hours, 2026

Presented as a graduation piece for the "Performance" course at the Moscow School of Contemporary Art (MSCA).

The performance was carried out for real, which made it very cold. An assistant periodically poured hot water over the artist, and sympathetic onlookers covered him with their own clothes trying to keep him warm. Someone even found a wrench and shut off the water for five minutes, but this act of good samaritanism was quickly undone.

As is customary for the genre, the performance took place only once, but it was documented through a timelapse video and photographs.

I am under sanctions from 31 countries. I find a path between external and internal dangers. I walk toward my convictions, regardless of the prospect of reward or punishment.
